LiKAR Bar: Bar & Restaurant Management Software Built for How Bars Actually Work
A restaurant POS treats a bottle as one item. A bar sells that bottle 30 ml at a time, and by the end of the night nobody knows what is really left. LiKAR Bar is the bar & restaurant edition of LiKAR — tables and KOT, menu and combos, recipes that deduct every peg, happy hours, and POS billing that closes tables in seconds.
A restaurant POS treats a bottle of whisky as one line item. A bar sells that same bottle 30 ml at a time, pours a double for a regular, loses a little to spillage, and closes the night with nobody quite sure what is left. That gap — between how software counts stock and how a bar actually moves it — is where most bar inventory goes missing.
LiKAR Bar is the bar & restaurant edition of LiKAR, built for on-premise service: table service and kitchen orders, a menu that can be sold by the peg, bottle or plate, recipes that deduct the right stock on every pour, happy-hour pricing, and POS billing fast enough for a Friday rush. It lives at bar.likar.app.
Tables, KOT and a live kitchen board
Service starts at the table. LiKAR Bar keeps a floor plan of your tables, so a steward can open a table, add rounds through the evening, and settle once at the end. Every item sent from the table raises a KOT (kitchen order ticket) or BOT for the bar, and lands on a kitchen display system — a live board the kitchen and bar work from.
Each order carries a status from placed → preparing → ready → served, so nothing is lost between a shouted order and a plate leaving the pass. When the kitchen marks an item ready, the floor sees it immediately.
Menu, combos and time-based pricing
A bar menu is not a flat price list. The same bottle sells as a 30 ml peg, a 60 ml large, a quarter or a full bottle — at different margins. LiKAR Bar lets you build the menu the way your outlet actually sells:
- Peg, bottle or plate. Price each selling unit separately instead of forcing everything into one “item”.
- Combos and bundles. Sell a platter + pitcher deal as one menu item that still deducts each component from stock.
- Time-based pricing. The same drink can carry a different price at 4 pm and 9 pm.
Recipes & BOM — where bar stock actually leaks
This is the feature that separates bar software from restaurant software. In LiKAR Bar you define a recipe (or bill of materials) for each menu item: a Old Fashioned is 60 ml whisky, sugar, and bitters; a plate of chilli chicken is a fixed set of ingredients. When the item is billed, every component is deducted automatically at the right quantity.
The practical effect: a 750 ml bottle that sold twelve 60 ml pegs shows as 720 ml gone, 30 ml left — not as “1 bottle” still sitting in stock. Variance between what the system says and what is physically on the shelf becomes a number you can actually investigate, instead of a monthly mystery.
Happy hours, reservations and guest feedback
- Happy hours. Schedule discounted pricing for specific windows; the POS applies it automatically instead of relying on staff to remember.
- Reservations. Take table bookings against your floor plan so a Friday night is not first-come chaos.
- Feedback. Collect guest feedback against the order it relates to, so a complaint has context.
POS billing built for a rush
Bar billing has its own shape: tables settle in bursts, groups split the bill, and cash and UPI mix on one cheque. LiKAR Bar handles split payments across two modes, tax handling, and instant printed bills. The POS is also built to keep working when the internet is not — orders are held locally and sync when the connection returns, so a dropped line does not stop service.
Inventory, purchase and the back office
Behind the counter, LiKAR Bar tracks bottle and case stock across bar and kitchen, records purchases from suppliers, logs breakage, and raises low-stock alerts before you run dry on a fast-moving line. Around that sit the pieces a real business needs: customers, staff and roles, approvals, accounts, tax and a reporting suite.
Online and delivery orders
If you also do delivery, orders from Zomato, Swiggy, your own channels or the phone flow through the same pipeline as dine-in — same kitchen board, same stock deduction, same billing — so your sales and inventory stay correct across every channel, and channel totals reconcile against the aggregator’s settlement report.

Frequently asked questions
Does LiKAR Bar work offline?
The POS is built to keep taking orders when the connection drops — they are stored locally and synced once you are back online, so a brief outage does not stop billing.
Can it sell liquor by the peg and the bottle at the same time?
Yes — that is the point of the menu model. The same product can carry peg, large-peg, quarter and full bottle prices, and recipes make sure each one deducts the right volume.
We already use LiKAR for our wine shop. Is this the same login?
They are separate applications for separate businesses — the retail ERP at likar.app and the bar edition at bar.likar.app — so an outlet runs on whichever fits its licence and operations.
Does it handle GST for food and drinks?
Yes, billing includes tax handling for restaurant service. Note that liquor retail sits outside GST and is governed by state excise — that is the domain of the separate LiKAR retail product.
